How Far Along: Last Saturday marked 27 weeks
Size of Baby: 2.5 pounds
Weight Gain: 25 lbs; I'm kind of wishing I hadn't decided to share weight gain on this blog. Not because of my own insecurities - I've dealt with those. But, mainly because I've found that I'm really concerned with it. I am weighing myself more now than I ever would have in the past and it's just not healthy in my opinion. A few truths remain: 1. I'm not overweight, 2. I'm not gaining excessively, and 3. I'm still exercising and maintaining my health so the fact that I have a desire to step on the scale daily or semi-daily is not good. And totally unnecessary. However, I wanted to share the weight gain in an attempt to be transparent - now I'm wondering if it really matters...
Stretch Marks: Nope!
Maternity Clothes: Still wearing quite a few non-maternity pieces, but feeling very comfortable in my maternity staples. Starting to think about what to wear for our pictures! I'm definitely going to be looking for your input!
Gender: Sweet baby boy!
Movement: Lots more movement lately! And finally, Sunday evening hubby got to feel him! His expression was: "Holy cow, that was a strong kick!" It was awesome. :)
Sleep: Still very touch and go with the sleep.
Missing: Now that JCrew is having its 50% off sale and Old Navy just had their's, I must admit I am missing being able to shop for fall fashion. However, I will be able to do that very soon! I mean, in less than 3 months baby boy will be here.
Loving: The nursery is painted! I can finally go purchase fabric and get to work on rest of the decor since I will have a place to hang it all. I am so excited to share with you some upcoming projects that I have planned for his lil space. The nursery itself won't be debuted until he is here, but I will definitely share sneak peeks along the way.
Craving: Hot cocoa with marshmallows
Feeling: Good! I am starting to experience heart burn and that is not pleasant, but totally manageable.
Looking Forward: Can't wait to see my parents next weekend!!
Best Moment(s): I can't share the BEST moment right now because it would ruin my mom's birthday surprise (sorry mom!), but in one short week I will be with them and can share it then!
I'm having the hardest, but best time picking out fabric for the nursery!
Some ideas on my style board are above.
Got back into my running routine hard core this week.
Currently at 19/48 miles in October and with Manda
Passed my glucose test!
#winning
P.S. This does not taste nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be; take that from someone who doesn't drink soda or juice because it's too sweet.
You are too cute in this picture! Yay for passing your glucose test! You're doing great with your miles too!
ReplyDeleteYou can be my personal shopper :)
ReplyDeleteyeah for passing the glucose test! love that fabric - we used the grey elephant one in addi's nursery. I had a hard time with the weight gain too - and didn't share it as I felt like it was so easy to compare yourself to others and everyone is so different!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, you should go with the Elephants and the yellowpolkadots!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look great, Lins!! Don't worry about what the scale says!
ReplyDeleteOH! I love those fabrics! I can understand why you're having a hard time deciding :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I would totally empathize with you questioning about sharing your weight gain on the blog! I say that if makes you feel a little uncomfortable, then take it off the list! It is YOUR blog :)
ReplyDeleteBut 25 isn't bad at all Lins! I gained a ton...I want to say it was around 50 but I am now thinking that I blocked out the real number ;)
Anyway, you look gorgeous. I love watching you in the process.

I need to do my glucose test in a few weeks do thank you for the comment on the drink! That puts my mind at ease. Curious, did you eat before your test? I'm afraid to not eat and end up passing out but I also don't want to eat and ruin the results. If you ate what did you have??
ReplyDeleteLove the first picture - you look amazing! Cute fabrics for your nursery!
ReplyDeleteYay for passing your glucose test! I had to take mine twice my first pregnancy, I'll have to tell you that story another time ;)
ReplyDeleteMmm hot cocoa sounds so good right now! I'm glad you are doing well, mama! Not much longer!
