This week has been a bit of a milestone week for us because it's been full of prep for me going back to work. The closer Monday gets, the more mentally prepared I think I am. Which is a good thing!
CT spent two half days with the sitter (our next door neighbor who we could not be more happy to have him stay with and who could not love him more) so that I could get comfortable with a morning routine and to prevent a possible meltdown (from mommy!!) on Monday morning. I survived. He thrived...isn't that the way it always goes?
I played in our school's student/faculty basketball game fundraiser Wednesday night. Something you may not know about me: I played basketball from 4th grade through my freshman year of college when I decided I wanted to focus on soccer instead. Collegiate ball was not something I felt dedicated to. So, I loooove when this fundraiser comes around each year. However, basketball after baby is tough!
I went shopping and found some nice new items to help the transition back to work. I know you are thinking...clothes help the transition? But, a girl needs to feel like she looks good in order to be confident and in my case, emotionally stable. So thanks to some help from Instagram, I purchase a few new pairs of pants and some blouses.
Also! I booked Carson's first flight to the Adirondacks for spring break. Can't wait to be home with my little man.
