Transformation Tuesday: My PiYo Experience

I love seeing transformations on Pinterest or Beachbody or just in general.  I find them so motivating; to see how far someone has come in their health/fitness journey.  I was really nervous about sharing my personal transformation pictures.  Mostly because I'm a pretty conservative person; I don't go around flaunting what I've got (or not got).

But, because I find them so inspiring myself, I thought it might be helpful to share my own results/journey with others.  So, I put my fears aside and here they are!

I started PiYo on January 1, 2015 and my last workout was February 28, 2015.  I completed the entire 60 day program during that time while following the 21 Day Fix nutrition plan.

All in all, I lost 4 pounds and about 5 inches.  I went down a pant size and I am so much stronger than I was when I started.  I am confident in my ability to step up my game and try the next workout on my list, 21 Day Fix Extreme.

Some of my favorite things about PiYo:

  • no shoes!  I know this seems silly, but it makes waking up in the morning a lot easier.
  • low intensity; it was perfect for me to reintroduce an exercise routine into my life post-baby
  • no weights
  • all over workout
  • core/back strengthening; after carrying a child, this was imperative
The best part is I did this.  This is all me.  I chose to use PiYo as my vehicle to accomplish what I wanted to accomplish.  There is no magic potion, easy solution, or pill to swallow.  I committed to this and I did it.

I had it in me all along, I deserve the credit for the changes I've made in my life.

What about you?  If you think PiYo might be your thing or if you want to discuss other options so that you can have similar results, contact me.  I want to chat.  I want to help you feel as good as I do from the inside out.
