25 Things You Probably Don't Know About Me

So it's been a while since I did a post like this and I thought it might be fun to share 25 random facts in the event I have some new readers around here.  Some you may know, some you may not.  Most probably won't mean a thing to you. Haha, but let's get started anyway!

I was a huge tomboy growing up with skinned knees and no sense of style whatsoever, but definitely played Barbies for longer than most girls.

I believed in Santa until I was in the 6th grade and got into a pretty heated debate with a boy that year when he tried to tell me he wasn't real.

I am petrified of worms.  Snakes aren't great, but worms really tear me up.

I was on a bowling team through high school.  We were the Pink Ladies.  Apparently, I was also born in the wrong decade.

The Easter Bunny took my blankie for her baby bunnies one Easter when I was 4 or 5-ish years old.  She needed it because they were cold and I was a big girl and eventually she brought it back.  Oddly enough, one day it appeared in the bottom of a wagon we were using to pick bottles up off the side of the road...

I worked at Bath and Body Works for 3 years when I first started teaching.

I never saw Dawson's Creek.  In my defense we didn't have cable or satellite so all I pretty much got to watch was TGIF every Friday night and Sesame Street every Saturday morning.

Leonardo was my favorite ninja turtle.

I read the entire Baby Sitters Club collection, but after the 7th or 8th book, I started skipping the first chapter because it was the same every. single. time.

I have an obsession with sneakers.  Always have.

I'm allergic to the cold.  Seriously.  It's a thing.

I started skiing when I was 3.  I rocked some Mickey Mouse skis.  And I still remember the day I went ahead of my dad and got on the chairlift by myself - breaks my heart to think how he felt when he realized his little girl didn't need him to scoop her up.

Ever since I was little the one thing I wanted to be when I grew up was a mom.

Then for a while in my early 20s I questioned that.

Now, my favorite thing in life is motherhood.

I can still sing every TLC, Salt-n-Peppa, Destiny's Child song word. for. word.

My running playlist includes DMX, Kari Jobe, ACDC, Kanye West, and Journey.  Doesn't even make sense to me...

I was completely against online shopping.  Like against!  Until I became a mom of two.  I use to love browsing racks and trying things on and now I'm a big fan of Nordstrom's free shipping both ways policy and avoid the mall like the plague.

I still get a thrill out of a good Target run, though.

I want a coffee bar cart in my home in the worst way - I just can't figure out where I can make it fit.  But, seriously, drinking coffee that was made on a coffee bar cart sounds so much more fun than drinking coffee that was made on my kitchen counter.

I HATE washing my hair.  HATE.  I use to wash it every single day without fail.

When I see things with flamingos, they 99.9% of the time come home with me.  It doesn't even really matter what it is or how many I already have.  It just happens.

Marshmallows are my jam.

I like the smell of sweaty babies.  Maybe it's just my sweaty babies.  But something about a sweaty baby makes me just want to squeeze them closer.  Is that too weird?

I long for simplicity, but I keep buying more stuff.  I need to find a balance.

So, yeah....weird little ole me.  Hopefully you still come back for more after learning all that.
