#coachlindsayspostbabycomeback

You guys!  Wow!  Week one has flown by...seriously!

If you've followed my journey on Facebook and Instagram, you already know that I'm in it to win it with this test group.  Taking these before photos was eye opening in a super scary way.  I have started seeing results, but definitely didn't see myself this way when I looked in the mirror.  I'm not about body shaming, but I'm glad I've got some inspiration to really put in the work now!

I promised weekly recaps with a little more depth so let's get started!

Sunday night I was so freaking excited, it felt like Christmas Eve!  I know that sounds a little backwards, right?  Definitely didn't wake up to gifts haha, but I was just ready to put in the work!  I took one of these before going to sleep so that I would rest well and still woke up 3 minutes before my alarm was about to go off.

Confession: I've always been the type to buy flavored Greek yogurt at the grocery store.  I know it's better to get plain and add your own fruit, but I like plain on my baked potato - not with my coffee in the morning.  I am so devoted to this test group that I bought plain and decided to try it the right way.  You guys, it's delicious!  Like dessert!  This is 1 cup plain Greek yogurt + 1 Purple container frozen mixed berries + 1/2 Blue container of sliced almonds.  AMAZING.

Day 1 wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be which scared me a little.  Typically that means I'm too cocky and going to pay for it the next day.  I'm drinking Recover after each workout and it's really making a difference!  I am not nearly as sore as I should be the next day and that definitely helps me to get out of bed so early in the morning to make this work for our family and my schedule.

On Day 2, Laurel woke up about 5 minutes before my alarm was to go off.  And she wasn't going back down so instead of using that as an excuse to miss or skip (which I've been doing for the past 9 months), I fixed her a bottle and she got to watch Mama rock her workout.  It wasn't easy, I had to hit pause a few times, and she fussed a bit, but we did it! #strongasamother

I stepped on the scale after my workout this day and had already lost 2.0 pounds!  You guys, I haven't been able to BUDGE that freaking scale in months.  Mostly due to the fact that I've inconsistently exercised and overindulged in all the junk.  It was extremely exciting and encouraging to see the scale drop so quickly and to be at a weight I haven't been at in close to a year!  I'm already feeling the difference in my clothes and body, now I'm seeing it on the scale!

This picture could be a whole other post...maybe it should be.  You mommas out there know how hard it is to be selfish, but this time is mine!

Chris Downing speaks such truth and energy into your life as you go through the workout that I'm really gaining so much from this.  He's pushing me to not only reach for my goals, but to establish what they are, why they're important, and what I need to do to get to them.  He's so motivating and inspiring!  This is a program anyone doing some soul-searching would LOVE.

So, you may or may not know this about me already - but when I was postpartum with my son I was STRUGGLING to say the least with depression and body image and just a lot of sadness.  I knew a lot of it stemmed from my lack of self-love and being uncomfortable in my own skin.  That's when I started researching all the different programs that were out there that could help me get myself back.  I was specifically looking for something I could do at home because going to the gym during this time would have given me so much anxiety, I would have wasted my money on a membership.  Again - this is another post in and of itself, but long story short - I was extremely skeptical about Shakeology.  I really truly thought it would taste like crap and I would force myself to drink it and lose the weight and never get it again while keeping the workouts.  I thought it was a weight loss shake.

I was wrong!  So, I don't know why I'm so surprised that I was also wrong about our Performance Line!  I "didn't believe in supplements" for the longest time until I finally tried our pre-workout formula and got hooked.  (Something that helps me get pumped for a 5 am workout and keeps me focused?)  So, when this Test Group suggested drinking Energize, Recover, and eventually Hydrate I just decided if I was going all in, I was going all in.

Game changers!  I'm not nearly as sore as I feel I should be.  It's day 5 and I'm rocking my 4:45 AM wakeup call so that I can crush this in plenty of time to get myself + kids ready for work.  I don't know if I'd be able to do it without all that!  (I haven't tried Hydrate yet - we start using that next week)

If you're interested in knowing more about The Shift Shop and being FIRST on my list when it's released fill out this form and I will keep you posted!
