Shift Shop Week 2

Week 2 is almost over!!  In case you didn't see my results from Week 1 you can read the full recap here or follow my journey daily here.

In just one week I lost 6.2 pounds and 6.25 inches.  I shared my before/after selfie, but I've decided not to share any more until day 21.  So, this is what you get other than what you notice in normal pictures!

I can see huuuuuuuge changes in my midsection (problem area).  I've noticed I've gone down a notch in my bra as well and my clothes are definitely fitting a lot better.  And, you know that bulge you get in the car when the seatbelt is across your lap?  Yeah, it's going away.  In fact!  Today, I'm wearing a pair of jeans I tried to wear last Friday and couldn't!

I'm going to take a minute to talk about my mindset because even though these physical changes are huge and make me very happy and motivated, I think my mindset is even more detrimental to this process.  You guys, for the first time in a long time, I'm feeling energized, confident, proud, excited, committed, motivated, and satisfied with the results of my hard work.  I can't exactly put into words the difference in how I think and feel today as compared to 10 days ago, but I wish I could.

I was no where near the depression that I experienced with my son, but I was definitely consumed with motherhood, making bottles, cleaning spills, bath time, work, and attempting to fit in time with my hubby in between.  I was struggling.  It is so easy to fall into that motherhood mindset where you just do everything for everyone else and you put yourself on the back burner.  Forgetting what it feels like to prioritize yourself and take care of your body happens so quickly when you have a new baby in the home.  And I was in that rut...

I have kept my nutrition on point and I honestly haven't struggled with that - I'm having the opposite problem of struggling to eat everything.  The spacing of the meals and snacks is so perfect that I'm not hungry at all.  I have had a few headaches here and there due to my body detoxing from the crap I was eating before I got started.  (I quite literally was eating whatever I wanted.)

I have created meal plans for Week 1, Week 2, and Week 3 if you are interested let me know here.

One of my coworkers asked me this week what this workout was like and I had a hard time explaining to someone who wasn't an athlete (if you were an athlete you know what agility workouts and preseason/postseason work is like).  But this is what I said...
It's similar to the workouts in 21 Day Fix or a typical "gym workout" except you have this coach in your ear who is truly rooting for you and cheering you along each step of the way.  He isn't just telling you what to do and how to do it; he's rooting for you.  And, in my world, it's what makes all the difference.  Heck, it's why I chose the OBGYN I chose to deliver my babies!!

I'm loving this program so much that I'm already working on creating a group specifically geared toward women who are in the same headspace I was and are looking to make the shift.  If you are interested in being part of that group and getting more information fill out this form and I will be in contact with you so that we can get you started!
